Mark 2:22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins. Lord, by age I could be an old wineskin, stiff and rigid unable to receive and hold the newness of Your grace. Make every part of me elastic by Your Spirit, that I may depend upon all that You can do, not on what I think I know. Create in me resilience that goes against my nature, flexibility that sees change as opportunity for You to move. Give me daily faith and grace as a vessel stretched to accept the freshness, the newness, and energy of Your Spirit’s flow. Thank You for the joy and peace that accompanies every move of Your presence. For I know in spite of age I can be a new wineskin for Your glory. Amen
