Wiping the Tears of a Child of God

by Russell Willis

They are children
These saints of God
Children who wept like a child
Because they were a child
Who sang like a child
Because they were a child
Who danced through life like a child
Because they were a child
Who wiped our tears when we were children
And sang their songs and told their stories
And danced their lives to show us how to live
As a child
As a child of God
These children of God
These saints
