‘Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.’ (Luke 10:42) Galilean storyteller. Defying the cultural standards of your day, you defended Mary’s right to sit at your feet as a disciple. You publicly witnessed her worthiness to receive and teach your transformative message. Give us the courage to believe our own eyes and ears and hearts, so that we may live into your timeless and inclusive love story as a balm for this broken world. Let it be.
