Dripping Love For Eternity

by Tabitha N. Munyoki

I have limited your love
To the shades so transient
Put it in little pink boxes
Pegged on my grading of good
Of similar taste as that
Given by fallen image bearers
Thinking
I needed to scrub some more
Willing my soul
Begging it
To be a little different
A little less me
While all of me
Had all of you
Ingrained
With unfathomable love
Of a Son dead on a tree
Dripping love for eternity
