Yes, I was flustered
And frazzled
From getting ready
For such a guest.
I just wanted to please Him,
To somehow win
His approval.
But how do you earn
The favor
Of Perfect Love?
How was I to know
He wanted me,
Not my performance?
While I had
A temper tantrum,
It was my sister
Who saw His worth.
The Word Himself dined with us
And I would not stop
And simply listen.
