Standing bound before His accusers,
He made no reply.
The Word was silent
For their ears were stopped
And their hearts granite.
The charge was baseless.
But they had decided
He was a danger
And Truth must die.
Never would they own Him
As their King.
So He laid Himself down
And spoke the last word.
