by Laura Hilkemann
God has heard every song
Sounded on His Earth—
Melodies from Jubal’s lyre,
Just-murmured lullabies.
Do favorites echo in His mind
Like they reverberate through ours?
If so, perhaps it’s not rich chords
Renowned full orchestras perform
In velvet-cloaked prime concert halls.
Perchance it’s simple ancient tunes
That children chanted as they prayed
With cheerful sublime word-sounds
That none can comprehend today.

Very nice. There are poets and there are people who read poetry and gain and better understand of God’s world from poetry. CW
