tHis season…

by Linda Hartenian

holidays may bring merry and bright...when said, words meant to be kind
swelling and filled with wishes they dance...’round jolly, then stop, to rewind.
sing do the voices in harmony sweet...littles barely keep up with the sound
reminding of rhymes where bad is forgot...rejoice and herald those “found."
time, passed by, since many have gone...years gather, and memories fill’d
generous this life when gotten with gifts...say “thanks” but remember, His build.
this earth shall ne’er see times such as this...remind me, if just one more time
celebrating with ribbon and wrap as we do...’cept for Him, all delivered by Prime®…

Linda Hartenian has been writing poetry for nearly 20 years. Over time, her words rang most true when gathered through Christ. HIS message appeared frequently in personal memorial poems to friends and colleagues who had lost loved ones. A retired business professor with many professional publications, she discovered poetry allowed for a different, very rewarding, evolution in her writing.
