Without You

by Jackie Chou

Without You, Lord,
I am a sheep lost in the herd.

I hear a laughing crowd
across the bridge.

Their red and turquoise garbs
are glowing in the sun.

Yet my own eyes are watery,
and I can see neither color nor light.

Without You,
my world is a palette of gray,
and my river is filled with tears.

I need You, Lord,
to take me out of despair
and into Your guidance.
