God is here
on the stained blue carpet
under the yellow lamplight
on a burgundy couch
He is in my footsteps
so when I walk, he walks with me
He is in my words and my songs
so when I sing a hymn
it is Him in my voice
When I detour around thorny cacti
it is God holding my hand
When the leaves rustle
it is God whispering in the wind
When the pond ripples
it's His breath upon its surface
The world cannot turn
without its mighty creator
