I used to believe in fairy tale endings
The bright sunlight, beautiful flowers
I wanted it all,
To live, to fall in love, to grow.
Alas life wanted something more for me.
I should be pleased some say,
I am lucky others claim.
But I am in a dark room surrounded by the shadows I had created
I am stuck in a cage I cannot find a way out.
My only help can come from above, from the Father of all lights.
