Just scales
belong to the Lord,
as the Proverbs say.
Deceptive scales
belong to us.
Get what’s ours
and look out for #1.
David declares,
“Blot out my iniquities!”
Shatter my dishonesty
and my weak understanding
of what is right and just.
To choose what is right
I come into agreement
of the highest Judge.
With David I proclaim,
“Take away my iniquities!”
I come into agreement
with God’s righteous judgment
and my plea: the blood of Jesus.
