Daybreak

by John T Kane

Now Christ, the Son of righteousness
Let dawn our weary spirits bless
The light of grace to us restore
As day returns to earth once more.

You gave to us the morning bright
Now let our hearts in You delight
That those who've heavy burdens borne
Might rise like eagles on the morn.

The judgment of the Lord draws near
When on the clouds our Hope appears
We long to be a ready Bride
And sit at the table by Your side.

So let the rays light up our face
That shine from Heaven’s dwelling place
And let your beauty fill the sky
Declaring love that never dies.
