At Christmas time, we celebrate
The birth of our Great King,
That tiny babe in Bethlehem,
Our gladsome praises bring!

For now, we’re all reminded
That this gift was freely given
By God above, that utmost Love,
His Son sent down from heaven.

How blessed are we He came and changed
Our lives forever after.
No more will we find we’re condemned 
To death, our final chapter. 

God loved us so, He sent His Son
To pay the price we owed.
He never sinned and yet took ours.
His grace on us bestowed.

And thus, that Babe born Christmas morn,
Inside a cattle stall,
Was sent to keep God’s promise made
Grow up and save us all.

So, as you buy and wrap and bake
In wild anticipation,
Remember that the Child who came
Is Christmas’ foundation.
