Thirst

by Marietta Lea B. Rosana

I just sit here before God
with my unnamed longing
veiled in the mantle of his grace
He calls my name

He comes
as quiet ripples to my mind,
summons of the heart
to attune my soul
to the rhythm of his Spirit

Oh, how deep is my desire
to love him.
