Take a Walk With Me

by Jeff Kaspar

Father, will You hold my hand
Please take a walk with me
There’s too many twists and turns
My feet will fail unless You lead

Keep my heart focused on You
I trust You’ll never forsake nor leave
Your Spirit is ever by my side
It’s Your Word only Lord I heed

So Father, will you take my hand
Please take a walk with me.
There’s so many hurting in pain
So great is the need

For them to hear Your voice
For workers to sow a seed
You’ve lifted up my eyes to learn
The fields are already white indeed

So Father, please take me there
Come take a walk with me.
1 day at a time is how we overcome
1 step at a time how we succeed

We’ll help those trapped by fear
Wounds so deep they’ll forever bleed
Father if they could just hear Your voice
It’s on Your Word they need to feed

Father, I’m not ready but I’m willing
Please take a walk with me.
We’ll show them that they have a choice
If they’ll just look to Calvary

The Cross holds every answer
Every prisoner has been set free
By His Blood every chain’s been broken
And by His Blood we’ve been redeemed

So Father, will You come
Please take a walk with me
Hold my hand every single moment
Lord I’ll follow where You lead.
