OKI-NI-SOO-KA-WA

by Sarah Margaret Dicks

I hear you Speak
as your breeze blows through the trees like reeds
and plays a melody for me.

I seek your Face
In the sweet young smile, spread wide as a mile
across the face of a child.

I feel your Peace
where the untrodden snow meets my booted feet
beneath the snow capped peaks.

I know your Love
Because of a common sharing of the emotions laid bare
during our nightly prayers.

I relish your Joy
As we sing a song along the road with windows down
and speakers strong.

I believe you are Lord
Because your living word disturbs my plans
And stirs my heart to serve.
