Father, I see an empty grave Both ahead of me and behind A cold stone tomb meant to destroy Yet brings me such peace of mind At the Cross, my Savior died The cold stone tomb that sealed my fate In Him I was reborn in Righteousness Now wide before me is heaven's gate The tomb behind me is forever empty Jesus’ death and Resurrection redeemed my life The tomb reminds me I once died That He bore the pain of all my strife Father, I see an empty grave That cold stone tomb tells me I'm Yours I'll never have to fear my fate You've already opened up heaven's doors The gift You sent from Your own heart The gift containing all Your love The gift of Jesus who laid down his life The tomb secured my place up above The gift that makes me Righteous The gift that fills love inside heart The gift of the empty tomb's promise That you'll never forsake nor part The tomb reminds me of His love for me Has made a way to break down my walls That I'm fearfully and wonderfully made I can roam freely through heaven's halls That is my home and rightful place Paid for by my Savior's death When His body hung on that Cross Dismissed His Spirit with His last breath Oh, how I love that empty tomb Now sin and death shrink back and cower Because Jesus rose for my Justification He returned in Glory to heaven's tower Thank You for the tomb, Father. In Jesus’ name Amen
