Some think Christmas is just about glad tidings and mirth, But it is really about Jesus’s birth. A baby born simply to die, If you don’t know the story, you may ask why? He died so that we may live, Of His life did He freely give. Because of His love for you and me, He died a horrible, painful death on that tree. But Jesus rose again within three days, And to this we see the Lord’s glory blaze. We are forever as His children to be treated, And forever the devil Jesus defeated. But what Jesus wants you to remember most, Is that it in God we should boast. For Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice, So we would not have to pay the price. The burden of sin He did gladly bear, So that in God’s love we could all share. For God could not abide permanent separation, That is why He started this Kingdom nation. For He wanted a family made up of us and all we have to do is believe, Of this tapestry of love God did gently weave.
