In His Love

by Jeff Kaspar

This is why we’re here
To live life sharing love
Wanting hearts to overflow
Love pouring from Jesus’ heart above

We love because He first loved us
When He placed His love inside
Then from that seed, love must be shared
With our loved ones by our side

Each moment we share together
Offers new chances to express
The love of Jesus bursting forth
From our heart inside our chest

His love heals all our wounds
His perfect love casts out all fear
Each act of kindness plants a seed
Carrying our love from far to near

At the Cross, all His love poured out
In crimson red for you and me
Then from the tomb our Lord emerged
When resurrected on day three

His love for us has no end
It’s infinite, perfect, and complete
The free gift of His love for all
Issued from the Mercy seat

His perfect love fills every crack
Every imperfection inside our heart
His love grinds stony hearts to dust
Transforms our pain to works of art

Compared to His great love for us
Our offering to Him seems so small
Yet He counts us all as priceless treasures
His love gives us courage to stand tall

In His love, what once was broken
Is remade reshaped made whole
What once was dead is given new life
Resurrection is our Savior’s goal

He is the Way, the Truth, the Life
His love won’t allow Him to forsake
His promise stands eternal
Though the entire creation should quake

In His love, we’re no longer broken
No longer confounded or lost
We’re now covered with His Righteousness
Redeemed by His own blood on Calvary Cross
