No Matter the Fear

by Mark Weinrich

When the curtain of fear
falls like a tempest
remember the Lord,
consider His stroll
on the waves.

When the weather
piles up with disaster
and terror-tossed minds
conjure a ghost.
We, like the poor disciples
can abandon all hope.

Then Jesus calms the outer
and inner storms, the fears
both real and unreal.
With His comforting smile
and consoling words
peace so unbelievable
turns the sea to glass.
