Pearls of rain chatter 
against the window
streaking down
in iridescent streams
like instant icicles.
Artistry beyond our making
blurring the world outside
in unconditional grace.

Heaviness falls away.
Hands emptied; hearts lifted.
Urgency once perceived
disappears as I release
control and accept the 
splendor of His peace
framed within
a day of rain.
